Assessment No minimum level of hydrogen production capacity is given. This means that all hydrogen production facilities are considered on the same regulatory basis if it is considered as Chemical Industry Facility.

No minimum level of hydrogen production capacity is given. This means that all hydrogen production facilities are considered on the same regulatory basis. This is a barrier for small projects that may use hydrogen. With specific regulation, hydrogen production from electrolysis in small quantities may be exempt from the Integrated Environmental Authorization and all its associated projects. Domestic H2 production is excluded from environmental assessment.
